I hope you all had a wonderful weekend!  Mine was filled with three different events and a couple of new client meetings – too much fun really!

1)  A highlight was the Canadian Design Bloggers Meetup at the gorgeous, rustic Brassaii restaurant in Toronto on Saturday.  There were about 70 of us in attendance and the organizers  (Vitania and Daniella) outdid themselves.  Great venue, amazing food, wonderful prizes and lovely blog friends all make for a memorable event!

Our guest speaker was Tommy Smythe who shared inspiration from his recent trip to Denmark and Sweden with Sarah Richardson.  You can see all of the photos on his Facebook page here.

They stayed at the Ikea hotel and visited the Ikea museum – how cool is that?

Hanging with some blogging besties, Christine, Lindsay and Sarah.  Had so much fun and can’t wait until the next one.  Tim did a recap post here.

More photos to be shared on the Canadian Design Bloggers blog soon.  My photographer Leah Kirin, who shot this dining room, was asked to be the event photographer.  She is super talented and sweet as anything and also my new blog sponsor.  Thanks and can’t wait to see the photos Leah!

Update:  You can see all of the photos here.

2)  Jen at Rambling Renovators and I thought it would be fun to follow Mr. Goodwill Hunting’s lead and have a local thrifting day in the Toronto area.  If you are interested in visiting some thrift stores, please head on over to Jen’s blog for the details and leave a comment here if you would like to potentially score some thrifty finds.

We will meet at Talize at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 9th and then visit Value Village, Goodwill and Salvation Army all in the same area of Mississauga.  Come on out!  You don't have to be a blogger to “get your thrift on!”

3) Don’t forget to enter my June giveaway for four prints by artist Andrea Stajun-Ferkul here.

4)  Oh and one more thing, congrats to the hubs for completing his CMA studies after spending every minute of evenings and weekends working diligently over the past two years.  So, so proud of you and will be glad to have you back!!

Have a wonderful week!  I’ll be back soon with a post on one of my sponsors, Paint it Like New.
